Aromatic foliaged evergreen tree reaching 4.5m high.

FEATURES: Shrub to small tree with bold compound foliage with 11-21 pointed leaflets each 25-5cm long. Foliage has a strong pungent aroma and is commonly used in curries in India and Sri Lanka. Clusters of small white flowers are followed by pea-sized decorative dark red berries.

PLANTING: Choose an open sunny position in well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice the width of the roots. Spread the roots out slightly, cover with soil and water in well. Do not place fertiliser in planting hole, as this may burn the roots. However some well rotted compost will be beneficial. After planting spread mulch above the roots to retain soil moisture and suppress weeds, but keep away from trunk. Suited to warm temperature to sub / tropical climates.

FOR BEST RESULTS: Apply fertiliser to soil above roots and water in well. Remove weeds as soon as they appear.

Protect from frost. Responds well to pruning
